Refunds (Including Financial Aid)
Refund checks will be issued after the fourth week of class and mailed to your address on file. These checks will be for overpayments resulting from dropped or canceled classes and any financial aid that can be disbursed directly to you. After this initial disbursement, the accounting office will issue refunds biweekly.
Tuition and fee charges will be reduced and any overpayments will be refunded 100% under the following conditions
- Class is cancelled by a college official.
- A student drops a class(es) lasting an entire semester within the first 10 instructional days of the semester.
- A student drops a module class(es) within the first five instructional days of the module.
- A student drops a class(es) that meets less than a module in length prior to the first official meeting of class.
The Drop Period to avoid charges:
- The first 10 instructional days (5 instructional days for summer term) for semester long classes in:
Academic Year 2012-2013
Fall 2012: August 21 - September 4
Spring 2013: January 14 - January 28
Summer 2013: June 10 - June 17
Academic Year 2013-2014
Fall 2013: August 22 - September 5
Spring 2014: January 13 - January 27
Summer 2014: June 9 - June 16
- The first five instructional days for Module 1 classes in:
Academic Year 2012-2013
Fall 2012: August 21 - August 27
Spring 2013: January 14 - January 18
Academic Year 2013-2014
Fall 2013: August 22 - August 28
Spring 2014: January 13 - January 17
- The first five instructional days for Module 2 classes in:
Academic Year 2012-2013
Fall 2012: October 16 - October 22
Spring 2013: March 18 - March 22
Academic Year 2013-2014
Fall 2013: October 16 - October 22
Spring 2014: March 17 - March 21
- For classes meeting less than a module length, see college timetable for listing of first official meeting.
No refund / repayment will be authorized for withdrawals or changes made after the respective drop period.
- Additionally, no refund / repayment will be issued if:
- A student is withdrawn by the college for disciplinary reasons.
- A student is withdrawn by the college for non-attendance.
- A student has financial obligations to the college.
- Financial aid recipients should review the refund/repayment policy in the Student Financial Assistance section of the catalog.
