The Lake Land College Foundation will award 10 $500 scholarships to students enrolled in the John Deere Ag Tech Program in the following manner:

• a. Five $500 scholarships will be awarded to freshman students (in the spring semester and summer term) who have completed one semester in the John Deere Ag Tech Program.


• b. And, five $500 scholarships will be awarded to sophomore students (in the fall and spring semester) who have completed two semesters in the John Deere Ag Tech Program.

To be eligible for consideration:

1. Students must be enrolled in the John Deere Ag Tech Program with a minimum 2.75 GPA.


2. Students must prepare a statement including an autobiographic sketch, his/her educational status, and his/her personal and career goals. This statement must be typewritten or word processed, not to exceed one 8 1/2 x 11 page in length.


3. Students must submit a letter of recommendation to the Lake Land College Ag Tech Instructor from his/her sponsoring dealership or dealer principal concerning the student's work habits, attitude and the dealer's future plan for the student.

Eligible students are encouraged to submit the John Deere Ag Tech Scholarship completed forms and letters of recommendation to the Foundation Office by December 1 for the freshman scholarships and March 1 for the sophomore scholarships.

I hereby authorize the Office of Admissions and Records and the Financial Aid Office at Lake Land College to release information from my permanent student records and financial aid records to the individual(s) responsible for the screening or selection of the above-named scholarship.
