Virgil H. Judge formally retires/Dr. Robert Webb named President-elect (September 1, 1972): After five years as LLC’s first president, Virgil H. Judge retired. His leadership had been instrumental in the creation of the school and its focus on vocational education. After accepting his resignation with “deep regret,” the Board unanimously nominated Vice President Webb as his successor. Webb accepted the appointment, noting that the school had much to accomplish, including the continued development of challenging academic programs, a master building plan, and careful preparation for an upcoming accreditation visit.
