Position: DENTAL HYGIENE CLINICAL DENTIST

Department: Academic Services, Allied Health

Supervisor: Division Chair Allied Health/Vice President of Academic Services

Job Summary: Responsible for teaching clinical courses for the Associate in Applied Science Dental Hygiene degree program.

Description of Essential Functions:
Teach clinical and lab classes assigned by the Division chair and approved by the Vice President following course outlines approved by the College. 2. Report attendance and grades as prescribed by the Director of Admission Services. 3. Arrive at the classroom prior to the scheduled class time. 4. Consider the general and special needs of the student. Assist students in meeting needs or solving problems when necessary, seek additional help from other college services. 5. Observe, support, and enforce the regulations, policies, and programs of the College. 6. Conduct oneself in a professional manner. 7. Notify the appropriate Administrator well in advance of absences.

Specific Functional Job Requirements

Education: Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from accredited Dental School Experience: Licensed Dentist Knowledge and Skills: Community college philosophy and population. Competent in client centered dental hygiene practice. Personal: Versatility, positive attitude, enthusiasm Physical: Ability to perform general responsibilities in the clinic.
