Human Services Program - Online Handbook - Human Services Club
The Human Services Club at Lake Land College provides students with the opportunity to meet other students in the program. This allows the students to network and share valuable information about possible internship sites or job openings in the Human Service Field. Each semester club members select a fundraiser that all club members are encouraged to participate in. In the past, the club has sold candy bars, had bake sales, etc, to raise money. The money raised is used in different ways. A $250.00 scholarship has been awarded to a Human Services Club member for several semesters. Also, the club has given donations to many area agencies. Camp New Hope, Armstrong School, Habitat for Humanity, SACIS, and local Group Homes have all been given donations. The club strives to assist people and agencies in need with in the Lake Land College area.Being a member of the club also offers a chance for the students to relax and have fun. End of the semester activities are usually planned to celebrate and thank club members for their hard work and dedication throughout the year. The Human Services Club meets every other Wednesday. The meeting time is usually voted on by the members during the first meeting of the semester.
New members are always welcome. We hope you will take advantage of this
opportunity and join the Human Services Club. If you have any questions, you can
contact a club advisor at 234-5409 or 234-5033. Students from any field of study are welcome to join the club!
